New awards for Slovenian shorts

05. September 2014
The short films Boles and Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf have proved themselves once again.

Between 21 and 25 August the biennial animation film festival took place in Hiroshima, Japan. The favourite of the festivals on all continents – the animated short Boles by the director Špela Čadež – received another award, this time for best debut. Thus the number of awards Boles has already received is getting close to 40.

The live‑action short Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf by the director Janez Lapajne received the eleventh award at the international festivals, of these the seventh in the United States of America.
At the FilmDayton festival in Dayton, Ohio, Lapajne's film was screened in the official selection and received the Award for Best Film in the section of International Shorts. Six other films – from France, Canada, Great Britain (2), Spain and Russia – were also shown in this section.
