Slovenia Film Production Incentive invests € 0.8 million in 5 new productions and 3 high-end TV-series

These contributions will generate € 3.1 million in production expenses in Slovenia across the entire spectrum of Slovenian film professionals and film companies.

In 2018 contributions were made to feature film Strangers in Paradise by Gabrielle Salvatores, produced by Italian Indiana Production s.p.a. in cooperation with Stara gara (Slovenia), horror feature film Motel Acacia by Bradley Liew, produced by Epicmedia Production Inc. (Filipini) in cooperation with Studio Virc d.o.o. (Slovenia) and a feature debut Murina by Antoaneta Alamat Kusijanović, produced by Antitalent (Croatia) in cooperation with Stara gara (Slovenia). Among high-end TV series that were granted the cash rebate there is the popular series Shadows Over Balkan by Dragan Bjelogrlić, produced by TOP kanal (Serbia), in cooperation with Perfo d.o.o. (Slovenia), second season of italian I Just Wanted to be a Rock Star by Matteo Oleotto, produced by Pepito produzioni s.r.l. (Italy) in cooperation with Stara gara (Slovenia) and TV series Memories of Alhambra, directed by south corean director Song Jae-Jung, produced by Chorokbeam Media in cooperation with Nora production group d.o.o. (Slovenia). Also, two feature documentaries received cash rebate support, among them a dance feature documentary Satori, directed by Gabrielle Tana, produced by USA Magnolia Mae films in cooperation with Rosa produkcija d.o.o. (Slovenia) and Who the Fuck Do You Think You Are Slavoj Žižek? by James Morton Haworth, produced by Gramafilm (United Kingdom) in cooperation with Studio Arkadena d.o.o. from Slovenia.
