Results of Call for minority co-productions support 2018 revealed

Slovenia supports 5 minority productions with the amount of 480.000 €.

services are part of Slovenian national support.

Out of 18 applications following 5 projects were selected:

1. fiction film project God exists, her name is Petrunija by Teona Mitevska (financial support of 45.000 € + in kind film studio technical services) to be produced by Slovenian minority producer Vertigo and majority Macedonian producer Sisters and Brother Mitevski. Script is focused to a story of young unemployed historian girl who challenges generally accepted traditional values in society.

2. Documentary project Lost Dream Team by Jure Pavlović (financial support of 20.000 € + in kind film studio technical services). Slovenian co-producer Tramal films teams up with Croatian producer Sekvenca to deliver a document of main sport events that were performed by winning national ex YU teams that were held in the period of a political decay in previous common state.

3. »Comedy of Christianity« Heavens above (financial support of 50.000 €+ in kind film studio technical services) to be directed by Srdjan Dragojević will be co-produced in cooperation between Forum Ljubljana and Serbian production company Delirium.

4. Fiction project Modelar (financial support of 45.000 €+ in kind film studio technical services) will tell a story of young deserted soldier to be directed by Petr Zelenka in production of Czech main producer 0.7KM Films and Slovenian delegate producer Fabula d.o.o.

5. The project Son (financial support of 50.000 €+ in kind film studio technical services) to be directed by Ines Tanović is relevant contemporary story of an urban family from Sarajevo that searches for an answer what the normal family could be. Project was applied by Slovenian co-producer Zavod Mono o in assistance of a main production house Dokument from Bosnia and Hercegovina.

In addition to financial support the selected projects benefit of automatic technical service and equipment of public film studio Viba film in the planned value of 270.000 €. The total value of public support of latest call therefore exceeds 480.000 €.
