The feature film "Estrellita - Take Away Song" by the writer and director Metod Pevec received the audience award at the 24th International Film Festival Festroia in the Portugal city of Setubal, which has just concluded. There this film received the Audience Award for Best Film.

The international jury, consisting of seven members, presided over by the renowned French director of Polish origin Andrzej Zulawski, chose the Czech film Recyclable Bottles by Jan Sverak for the best film, gave the Special Award to the Estonian film The Class by Ilmar Raag and the Award for Best Director to the Serbian author Srdan Golubović for his feature film The Trap.

This year the festival, paying attention to the smaller cinematographies with its competition programme (only films from countries where they do not make more than 30 feature films per year may be shown in the competition programme), presented a very impressive programme of films, which had already distinguished themselves at bigger festivals. Besides the aforementioned films Black Ice from Finland, Mirush from Norway, Siren from Russia and Restless from Israel also competed.

The film "Estrellita - Take Away Song" has already been extremely successful at numerous festival presentations, since it has already received 6 awards: two awards went to Silva Čušin (the Vesna Award for Best Female Role at the Festival of Slovenian Film in Portorož and a Special Jury Mention at the Mannheim - Heidelberg International Festival); the film received the "Dialogue" Award at the Cottbus Film Festival and the Special Jury Award Golden Sun at the Festival of European Film Cinedays in Skopje; the actor Marko Kovacevik received a special acknowledgement; and in Setubal the film received the Audience Award - already the second one after the film festival in Trieste.

Besides the cinema audience in Slovenia, in the autumn the film will also be presented in Bosnia and Herzegovina and in Germany.
