Golden Dreams

At the
22nd Mostro de Valencia Film Festival, the film Sweet Dreams by Sašo Podgoršek has been awarded the golden palm - the first prize in the main, competition category. 14 films from ten Mediterranean countries competed in this category. The financial part of the Valencia prize is five million pesetas or 20.000 USD. The film had already won the Special Jury Mention at the 3rd international film festival in Motovun. The first successful film at this festival was Carmen by Metod Pevec, which received the award for best actress (Nataša Barbara Gračner) and best photography (Tomislav Pinter) in 1996. A year after that Andrej Košak's Outsider celebrated the bronze palm at this festival. Sweet Dreams has already been shown at festivals in Montreal, Quebec, Haifa, Sao Paolo, Fort Lauderdale in Florida, and it is still going to Ourense (Spain), Solun and Palm Springs.
