A New Award For Dreams

Sweet Dreams by Saso Podgorsek received the award of the international association of film critics (the Fipresci Prize) at the Troia Film Festival in Setubal, Portugal. The jury consisting of three members wrote that they awarded the prize to the film "because of the gentle, satirical and realistic depiction of growing up in Slovenia during the seventies, and because of the message of the film, which speaks to different viewers". This is the third international award for Sweet Dreams after a special mention of the international association of film critics (the Fipresci Prize) at the festival in Motovun (August 2001) and the Golden Palm at the festival in Valencia (October 2001).
