Atorsion Qualified for Berlin

18. December 2002
This year's
Berlin festival is going to take place from 6 to 16 February 2003. From the Panorama, the official part of the festival, we have received good news that Atorsion by Stefan Arsenijevic, produced by Arkadena, qualified for its short film program. The producer of the film was the late Jure Kosak, who produced the short film Hop, Skip & Jump by Srdjan Vuletiæ in 2000. This film also qualified for the Panorama short film program in the year 2000 and received the main award. At the last festival in Portoroz Atorsion received the "Vesna" Award for the best short film, and after that the film had only one special screening abroad at the Sarajevo festival, in memoriam to Jure Kosak, who made both short films on the topic of the Bosnian war. Last year the Slovenian film was quite successful; in the Panorama section Guardian of the Frontier by Maja Weiss was shown and returned home with the Manfred – Salzberger award for the most innovative film.
