"Ruins" receives an award at the 6th film festival in Lecce

At the 6th Film Festival in Lecce (Italy), dedicated to European film, which took place from 6 to 12 April, the feature film "Ruins" by the director Janez Burger was one of the films that received an award.

The international festival jury, presided over by the Italian director Gillo Pontecorvo (he was also shooting in Slovenia and made the film The Wide Blue Road and was the manager of the film festival in Venice in the nineties), awarded Ruins the special jury prize Reale Mutua Assicurazioni.

The main award of the festival - the Golden Olive (with 5.000 EUR) went to the Russian film My Stepbrother Frankenstein by the director Valeri Todorovski. This film also received the award for best script.

The German film Fallen by the director Fred Kelemen received the award for best photography and the Fipresci jury award (international association of film critics).

After numerous awards, which the film "Ruins" received at the Festival of Slovenian Film in Ljubljana in November last year, this was the first international award for this film, which had its international premiere in January this year at the International Film Festival in Rotterdam.
