Gravehopping winner of International Paliæ Film Festival

From 15th to 21st July the 13th International Film Festival took place in Paliæ in Serbia. The expert jury awarded Gravehopping directed by Jan Cvitkovič the best film of the festival.

The jury granted the film with the Golden Tower award because of the "…original intertwining of the human and the philosophical in telling stories about our unusually usual lives."

This is the twelth international award for Gravehopping which saw its world premiere in September 2005 at the 53rd International Film Festival in San Sebastian and received the prestigious award Altadis- New Directors Award for the best first and second film of the directors.

More than 20,000 viewers saw the film in the regular cinematographic distribution in Slovenia. The film Gravehopping was produced by Staragara from Ljubljana and co-produced by Propeler Film from Zagreb and TV Slovenia. The film was financially supported by the Slovenian Film Fund and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Croatia.
