15. February 2007
At the Berlinale European Film Market 2007
  • Estrellita, world premiere: a drama about meeting of two families of different cultural background that are united by the fatal violin. The film was directed by esteemed Slovene author Metod Pevec (Beneath Her Window, Carmen).
  • Mokuš, world premiere by director Andrej Mlakar (Halgato, Christophoros) that was not meant to be forgotten until realising where a man is taken when having faith in higher mission.
  • Short Circuits, the international premiere of the absolute winner of the 2006 Slovenian Film Festival, delicate story of three different yet all very personal relationships, directed by Janez Lapajne (Rustling Landscapes).

Upon proposition by the Film Fund, the European Film Promotion chose Marko Mandiæ as this year’s Slovenian Shooting Star. Mandiæ is more and more present in films playing significant roles. Currently he is shooting the film I Command directed by Vinko Möderndorfer.
