The full-length feature film "Short Circuits", this year's candidate for the nomination for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film is to see its Asian premiere at the 12th Pusan International Film Festival in Korea (PIFF) in the strong World Cinema section.

PIFF is the greatest film festival in Asia and the Slovenian film was invited to Korea by its director. The film’s producer Aiken Veronika Prosenc and Janez Lapajne will participate in the event. Besides being the director of the film, Lapajne as well undersigns its screenplay, set design, editing and production. Their trip to Korea is co-financed by the European Film Promotion (EFP) which the Slovenian Film Fund is a member of, Triglav film and the Pusan Festival. The EFP also provides for all the presentations of the film in Pusan.

We were informed by the Pusan festival that this year’s World Cinema section programme includes aesthetically significant works from various countries. The programme will present the last films by directors Gus Van Sant, Volker Schloendorf, Claude Lelouch, Krzysztof Zanussi, Peter Greenaway, Roy Anderson, Andrej Zvjagincev, Cristian Mungiu and others.
