Synopsis
In Varja Močnik's documentary, members of former Yugoslav rock band Buldožer, their friends and fans reminisce about the time of the release of the band's debut album Pljuni istini u oči (1975). Their accounts interlace with fictitious scenes, the record artwork, archival footage and animation, to ultimately come together into an inventive, surrealist film that speaks not just of the legendary album, but also of the society and reality of the time.

Croatian: Film Pljuni istini u oči Varje Močnik pruža priliku svim obožavateljima Buldožera da se podsjete na njihova briljantna ostvarenja, no ono što ga čini snažnim filmom je to što daje i širi kontekst prostora i vremena u kojem je njihova glazba nastajala. Kroz vrlo zanimljiv redateljski pristup i scenaristička rješenja, postaje ne samo svjedok povijesti jednog banda već i važan dokument vremena. Koncept koliko-traje-album-toliko-traje-film vrlo vješto nadilazi klasičnu nostalgičnu priču o povijesti banda, a kroz poigravanje s realitetima-igrane scene, animacije, grafike i dr. redateljica jasno i direktno komunicira s gledateljima. Žiri smatra važnim podržavati djela koja se na kreativan i izravan način bave poviješću glazbe ovih prostora. Pljuni istini u oči je film koji gradi svojevrsni most između generacija koje su (pro)živjele povijest i onih koji se s tim iznimno važnim kulturno-povijesnim nasljeđem tek upoznaju.
