The 65th Berlin Film Festival is taking place from 5 to 15 February. This year the Slovenian film celebrates the past successes at the festival part of the Berlinale: in the context of the short film Golden Bear Night the film Atorsion by the director Stefan Arsenijević will be screened again.

Atorsion received the Golden Bear in 2003. It was produced by Studio Arkadena and supported by the Slovenian Film Centre. The selection of the award‑winning films from the past decades will be shown on 14 February in the Internacional cinema.

The Slovenian Film Centre (SFC) will once again present itself in the Martin Gropius Bau building, home of the Berlin Film Market, where it is going to provide information about Slovenian films to the festival selectors, buyers and journalists. This year the central Slovenian film institution is celebrating its 20th anniversary, while in Berlin it will celebrate another event: the ten‑year anniversary of the joint presentation together with the Czechs and Slovaks under the CEC – Central European Cinema trademark.

On Monday, 9 February, the film Sailing to Paradise by the director Blaž Završnik will be screened at the Market in order to search for successful festival and distribution options abroad. The 2015 Film Guide (covering full‑length live‑action and documentary films) will be presented, while for the second year in a row short films will be covered in the separate short film guide, already presented at the short film market in Clermont Ferrand a few days ago. The film The Tree by the director Sonja Prosenc will have its second film market screening, and the minority co‑productions The Reaper by the Croatian director Zvonimir Jurić and Honey Night by the Macedonian director Ivo Trajkov will also be presented.

On Saturday, 7 February, all three countries are organising a joint opening reception at the HomeBase club, where apart from images from various films national wines will also be presented. Slovenia will be represented by white and red wines from the Littoral region (Černe).

Numerous other events will accompany the Berlin Festival and Market. Already for the thirteenth year the Berlinale Talent Campus will keep discovering new film authors from all over the world. This year the young Slovenian screenwriter and producer Rolanda Rebrek also qualified for the Talent Campus. She has taken part in the projects by the director Blaž Kutin, and recently she has concluded the development of a new script at the Slovenian Film Centre.

The representatives of the Slovenian Film Centre will be present at the Film Market between 5 and 11 February.
