Gravehopping competing for the European Film Awards

Gravehopping, the second feature film by Jan Cvitkovič, is going to have its world premiere in the competition program of the film festival in the Spanish city of San Sebastian, which has just begun. On 21st September it is going to be shown for the first time.

After the world premiere in San Sebastian Gravehopping has already been invited into the competition sections of the festivals in Warsaw, Zagreb, Cottbus and Torin, and also to Solun and London, which are, despite their non-competitive nature, an important starting point for the distribution of films in the United Kingdom.

The film has also qualified among 46 films to be nominated for different categories of the European Film Awards. L'enfant by Jean-Pierre & Luc Dardenne - the winner of the last Cannes festival, Hidden by Michael Hanneke, Manderley by Lars Von Trier, Uncle Idriz's Place by Pjer Žalica - the winner of the last festival in Izola, and Hotel Rwanda by Terry George are also among these films.

The nominations are to be made public in the beginning of November at the festival in Sevilla. The European Film Awards are going to be given on 3rd December in Berlin. The film was produced by Staregare, starring Gregor Bakovič, Drago Milinovič, Nataša Matjašec, Sonja Saviæ, Mojca Fatur, Vlado Novak, Pavle Ravnohrib.
