Anja Medved

ANJA MEDVED

Anja Medved was born in Nova Gorica in Yugoslavia (now Slovenia) in 1969. She graduated from the Ljubljana Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television with a degree in theatre and radio directing in 1993. She attended courses as non-matriculating student at the Art Center, College of Design in Pasadena, USA in 1995. She was actively involved in the preparation of multimedia projects created by the Microinternational group from Los Angeles and collaborated on the Atol theatre projects directed by Marko Peljhan. She worked as assistant to theatre director Vito Taufer on several theatre performances. She is the author of video installations and director of several documentaries. The documentary "Moja Meja" (My Borderline) was awarded the best documentary film at Valdarno National Film Festival in Italy on 2003. She is a member of the Association Kinoatelje in Gorizia (Italy) and Zavod Kinoatelje (Slovenia). She lives in Nova Gorica.
