Thomas, a twelve-years old boy, is going through his last boyhood summer. Playing on the sea shore, he forgets the quarrels between his parents who are separated and, as it is usual with many parents, have no time to notice that their son is growing up by far more quickly than may be noticed by his sleeves that all tend to become too short. Apart from Luke, an old man who use to navigate the sea, there is no single soul in the world of adults who would understand Thomas' problems. Luke gives him a shell. Thomas will keep his memories of the summer, his first love, first touch, and his summertime friends, coming back to them whenever listening to the murmur of the sea in the shell. In one single summer Thomas grew up from a boy into a man who makes important decisions and responsibilities.
