A film looking at how relationships and circumstances within a family change when a daughter decides to abandon her studies for a singing career. Tina is a brilliant singer and would like to sing professionally. She quits her studies and goes home to a small Slovenian town. Her mother, who doesnt believe in her singing career, will hear nothing of it, so conflict is inevitable. After getting together with Matjaž, a childhood friend, Tina moves in with him. As it turns out, Matjaž has strong feelings towards her, but she is not able to reciprocate, because her singing career is getting more and more serious. The price of a successful career is high, however, because of the various demands of her musical managers. Not willing to play by their rules, she goes into debt; the ups and downs on the slippery road to fame alienate her from her parents and Matjaž. When Matjaž goes to work abroad, Tina has to make a major, life-changing decision.
