This fiction documentary is a portrait of our great linguist and thinker from the 19th century. Brother Škrabec was a language teacher and linguist. He argued against the decline of the literary and linguistic originality (Illyrism, Pan-Slavism). He insistently rejected the deterioration of the Slovenian literary-linguistic structure and indicated how to express oneself in conformity with the special, individual nature of our literary language. He also rejected other non-linguistic excesses, for example the prohibition of the use of the Slovenian language in the Catholic rituals. He pointed out that the Slovenian language and culture were underestimated and warned against the linguistic and national extinction. The documentary narration is accompanied by fiction elements from the life and work of this linguist.
